Our commitment to inclusivity
At Springbok Agency, we embrace diversity and inclusion. We are dedicated to ensuring all our visitors have an equal, welcoming, and accessible experience on our website.
We are actively fostering an accessibility culture within our design, content, and development community.
Additionally, we focus on the accessibility of:
- Slides and presentations
- Our newsletter
Our goal is to provide a web experience that aligns with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1 Level AA.
As we embark on this essential journey and continue to progress, we are committed to developing inclusive content and design that cater to the diverse needs of our users.
Technical specifications
The accessibility of the Springbok Agency website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- WAI-ARIA
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, meaning some elements do not yet fully conform. However, we have already made substantial improvements to enhance the user experience for everyone.
- Improved navigation. Users can now navigate the entire website using just a keyboard.
- Screen reader support. The site is accessible with screen readers, including the latest versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
- Color contrast. We’ve significantly enhanced color contrast across the site to improve readability.
- Images and other non-text content. All important images include appropriate, descriptive alt-text. We’re also in the process of hiding purely decorative images from assistive technologies.
- Heading structure. We’ve corrected inconsistencies between visual and semantic heading hierarchies to ensure screen readers can interpret page structure accurately.
While some areas still need refinement, we’re already closer to full compliance and remain committed to continuous improvements. Our goal is a fully accessible and inclusive experience for all users.
Non-accessible content
Certain parts of our Springbokagency.com websites are not yet sufficiently accessible.
- Decorative images. Not all the images which are purely decorative are already hidden from assistive technologies.
- Dynamic content: Some dynamic updates on the site are not yet fully accessible, as not all interactive elements use ARIA live regions to notify assistive technologies. We are actively working to improve this.
- PDF files. Not all PDFs that can be downloaded from our website contain the necessary tags. New PDFs will be provided with tags, older PDFs will be updated.
Our accessibility journey is ongoing. We regularly scan the website to confirm fixes of known issues and schedule the fixing of any new issues. Our ambition is to fix all known accessibility problems by 28 June 2025.
