Bringing the Batibouw experience to every home

Watch how we created an unforgettable stand for Beko at Batibouw 2019.

Batibouw is one of Belgium’s largest trade show fairs for construction, renovation and home improvement. With more than a thousand exhibitors participating each year, participants need the right concept to stand out from the crowd. Our creative and social media teams were up for the challenge to help Beko create a show-stopping stand.

Business challenge

Get Beko to increase its brand awareness by creating an immersive and fun experience at the Beko Batibouw stand.

Insights

Beko is known as the "official partner of the everyday" and a disruptor in the home appliance market. Our job was to bring Beko's spirit for innovation to the Batibouw grounds and share how its products make life easier for every household.

Ideas

Instead of showing off Beko's products in display cases, we brought the appliances to life with a live cooking show. We transformed the Beko stand into a test kitchen and recruited local health and wellness influencers as hosts to dish up delicious and healthy recipes. 

But this wasn't a typical cooking show. Our team organised a social media campaign and broadcasted the events on Facebook Live. During the live shows, we asked people to vote for ingredients to use during the show via a Facebook poll. The special twist? The voters weren’t physical attendees at Batibouw, but viewers watching the action at home. 

Impact

The first time we organised the Beko cooking show at Batibouw was in 2018. 
Even with a tight budget, the results were so overwhelmingly positive we decided to run a similar campaign in 2019. The following year, we saw an increase in viewers and engagement on both Facebook and Instagram.
